Join us at the annual "Pre-Rade"
The PA3 would like to invite all alumni to the annual "Pre-Rade" on Sunday September 8th.
We will congregate first at 2:30 pm at Triumph Brewery (138 Nassau Street) for some pre-pre-Rade cheer.
At 4:00 we will cheer on the "Pre-Rade" on the front lawn of campus, in front of Nassau Hall, to cheer on Princeton's newest Freshman Class of 2017 as they march from Opening Exercises through FitzRandolph Gate to start off their undergraduate experiences. It is a true celebration of Princeton spirit at the start of a new year.
The Alumni Association also invites alumni to join the Class of 2017 at Blair Arch at 5:30 p.m. for the Freshman Step Sing. Led by the Band, they will have their first opportunity to learn and sing Princeton songs.
As always, Reunions attire is encouraged.

First Friday Lunch - Oct 4
Join us for First Fridays, a monthly recurring event for undergraduate and graduate Princeton alumni, graduate students, and parents. On the first Friday of each month, area alumni and their guests meet to enjoy a prix fixe luncheon buffet at the Nassau Club in downtown Princeton. As a special bonus for PA3, a Princeton PhD candidate presents his/her work to the group in this informal setting. Topics vary monthly and are always interesting!
This month, we are joined by Matthew Howard, a regular at PA3 events and a grad student in Molecular Biology. In pre-Halloween fashion, he will speak about BRAINS! Areas in the brain talk to one another via connections existing between brain cells. Some viruses capable of infecting brain cells can travel along these lines of communication. When engineered to give off fluorescence these viruses can be used as tracers, allowing scientists to visualize connections in the brain as they travel. In areas of the brain associated with autism, such as the cerebellum, identifying and understanding disorder-relevant "neural networks" using these tracers in a mouse model will likely lead to greater progress in characterizing the human disorder.
Specially priced at $25/person (or $30 if you choose not to pay PA3's annual dues), lunch includes the Nassau Club’s full buffet as well as a complementary beverage (wine, beer, soft drink). Pre-registration is required.
