Princeton Alumni Corps is Seeking Hosts for Fellows

Princeton Alumni Corps...

Princeton Project 55 Fellowship Program

Elsbeth Field '04, PP55 Fellow, works with children at Bethel New Life in Chicago.

The Princeton Project 55 Fellowship Program provides recent Princeton graduates with formative experiences working in the public interest, instilling in all fellows a greater awareness of critical social issues, a deeper understanding of their capacity to bring about change and a lifelong commitment to civic engagement.

Princeton AlumniCorps is looking for nonprofit organizations in Central Jersey to host fellows for the 2015-2016 year. Partner organizations gain:access a motivated and diverse pool of screened applicants in return for providing great supervision, health insurance and paying fellows a modest stipend [~$32,000].  The one-year commitment also allows an organization to staff short-term projects or grants

Applicants have excellent writing, research, and analytical skills; strong work ethic; initiative; the ability to work in a team; and the ability to meet deadlines. Participating organizations (known as partner organizations) must address critical social problems and provide fellows with significant responsibility and excellent supervision. The fellowship program also provides fellows with mentors, a supportive alumni network, and educational seminars- all of which help to increase fellows' contributions to partner organizations.

To learn more about this program, go to www.alumnicorps.org.

If you have connections with potential partners in Central Jersey [Jersey outside of the New York and Philadelphia suburbs] please contact Caryn Tomljanovich, Partnership Manager at AlumniCorps, 609-921-8808 ext 228, ctomljanovich@alumnicorps.org.

Please also consider volunteering for the Princeton Area Committee supporting the program.  Area committees work to build relationships with new and existing partner organizations, coordinate mentorship and seminar components of the Project 55 Fellowship Program, and provide outreach to engage alumni in the AlumniCorps ARC Innovators program. Please contact Caryn if interested.
