2014 Special Olympics USA Games
PA3 members are invited to join the Princeton University group of volunteers at the event.
Note from Rick Ober '65: "I have been appointed as the volunteer Family Services Lounge Manager at Princeton University for the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games being held in Mercer County June 16-20, including Aquatics (DeNunzio Pool) and Athletics (Weaver Track Stadium). We will host the families of the participating athletes. From past experiences, I found working with these Special Olympics athletes with intellectual disabilities and their families to be incredibly rewarding. I would love to have you as a volunteer for a day or more to help me out.
Volunteering requires being available for at least one day full shift from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. I will be working a full shift every day. If you are interested in helping out, please go soon to www.2014specialolympics.org, click on the Get Involved > Volunteer tabs and read the info. Then click on Register to Volunteer on the right. After entering your contact information [you will have to upload a head shot photo for your credentials] select Family Services and then go to Aquatics>Family Services Attendant or Athletics>Family Services Attendant. This will sign you up for the Princeton University venue."
If you are interested in volunteering for the event in a different capacity, please visit https://2014sogv.theregistrationsystem.com/en/1665 to sign up. Select "general volunteer." Then, on the page where you enter your contact information, you’ll see a group drop-down menu - select Princeton University. Choose the event and position that interests you and the orientation session you can attend (last item).
Please email Kristin (kcalyea@alumni.princeton.edu) with the position, event, and day that you signed up for so we can give thanks!
